In 1984 Arthur Bakhtamian finished the Yerevan Art and Theater Institute, the faculty of public specialization, journalism department. Participate in alpinism, was in Great Caucasus and Armenian Great Picks, fond of fishing. Joint the Soviet Army 1.5 years
in fast transformation corpus, motor infantry detachment of TransBaykal region.

Since 1986 he has been working in various local media outlets including newspapers, radio (one of the organizers of Armenian first FM stations foundation).
 and TV. Author of various documentary films about Armenia and foreign countries e.g. Iran, Turkey, and Israel. Since 1997 co-author of three TV bridges shows “The Road of Peace Karabagh” Yerevan-Paris-Los Angeles. In 1999 founded on Armenian TV daily night talk show “Midnight Express”, with participation of people of art, featuring and old and new histories, customs and traditions. The 600-th show of the series was aired recently.
